Kouklia

Going towards Limassol just after Timi village we encounter Kouklia, a place that is considered to be the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. In antiquity, two locations were called Paphos: Old Paphos, today is Kouklia, and New Paphos due to its vast historical importance. People that seek to own a home here are attracted by the luxurious lifestyle this resort has to offer, it being one of the most prestigious areas to own a house in in the whole of Cyprus. While there are affordable options here, most properties are priced and sold in the millions making it an upper market area. It’s not hard to see exactly why, especially having one of the most scenic views to the sea and Aphrodites rock.

This is only a 20-minute drive to Limassol, while only a 10 minute one to Paphos. There are great historical activities to do here and lovely sea caves a very short drive away. This is also a short drive from the Asprokremmos dam. This is the second biggest dam in Cyprus and it located east of Paphos and is considered to be an important wetland for endemic and migratory birds.
