Paphos Intl. Airport (PFO)


Paphos is the second largest international airport of Cyprus. It is situated 6.5 kilometers southeast of the Paphos city. Tourists coming to western part of Cyprus generally have to use Paphos airport. Resorts such has Paphos, Coral Bay and Limassol that are located 50 kilometers to the South east of the Paphos city allows its tourist easy access the resorts from its airport.

The day by day increasing popularity of the resorts and the number of tourists paying visit to the city and resorts have enabled the Paphos airport to construct a new terminal at the airport in order to cope up with the increasing tourists. The Paphos new terminal was constructed in 2008. Attracted by reduced landing charges offered by Hermes incentive scheme, on January 2012, Ryan air announced the opening of their 50th base in Paphos and further in April 2012, Ryan air placed two aircrafts in Paphos with 15 new routes offering over 80 flights a week.

A new four-lane road is being planeed to link the airport with a new four-lane road so that the airport staff and the passengers would be able to avoid the over congested B6 Main road and the E603 secondary road.

The airport provides its passengers with first class airport services with 28 check-in desks, seven gates and 22 aircraft stands. The airport also has banks, restaurants, cafeterias, bars, duty free shops, and gift shops for the passengers. Paphos airport also provides its passengers other facilities like tourist help desk to assist them with all the details about the city and the places around it, car rental, first aid, a baby/parent room and special facilities for the disabled people.
